WELCOME TO THE RAISE YOUR VOICE BLOG

June Blog: Rebranding Updates

For the month of June, Raise Your Voice has been undergoing some changes! This month our focus has been on rebranding! We have a new logo, new designs, and a whole new colour palette. All four of our current campaigns, (Political Literacy, Student Tuition, Mental Health Care, and Indigenous Discrimination) will be back but with a new look. Keep an eye out in the month of July for our new posts and new content. Plus, we will be hosting a giveaway in support of our rebranding. You won’t want to miss this!

July Blog: Webiste Development

For the month of July, Raise Your Voice has been working very hard to create our very own website! Our very own tech team has been coding and designing to create a Raise Your Voice website that will host information on all our campaigns, team members, values, and resources! We hope that by launching this platform it will become easier for our supporters and followers to stay up to date with our advocacy and projects. Keep an eye out for our website’s launch!

August Blog: Federal Elections

On September 20th, 2021 there will be a federal election. Normally elections are scheduled for the third Monday of October in the fourth calendar year following the previous election. However, elections can be called sooner if 1) the Governor General dissolved parliament on advice of the Prime Minister and sets the election date or 2) The current government resigns and parliament dissolved via a failed confidence vote. All eligible citizens are able to vote for the representative of their choosing to represent their riding in the House of Commons. There are numerous ways in which a person can cast their vote including advance polls, by mail, on Election Day, or at an Elections Canada office. Before heading to the polls, make sure to become an informed voter by checking all of the party's platforms before casting a vote.
